I have my theories. I've been connecting the dots and the signs point towards foul play. As there are no witnesses I have to suspect who has the strongest motive. The Fail family, while controlling considerable wealth, are never satisfied with being second best. It's clear Don Fitzor paid a hitman to see that Tonic is taken out of the game.

However, that doesn't explain your clear insistence on pointing out the sudden defenestration of Nevergrind's champion. I say you, Maelfyn, are in on the act! Infuriated at Tonic making a mockery of leveling ease you let the ban hammer fall. EQ gods of yore were folly to allow players to grow to great heights and paid for it dearly upon the Planes of Power. You however, fear history will repeat itself and moved quickly to squelch the mortal upstart.

But no! That would have been too simple when actually Tonic staged his own death so he could become something more, something greater. No longer shackled by the burdens of the leaderboard, he's free to grind more experience than ever before. He'll soon ascend beyond mundane PC status and will be the Season 2 end-game boss.

As a note, is there a way to keep even deleted chars on the leaderbords? So that'll better show the whole history of a season, just with the base stats (name,lvl,class,race),and no link to the Nevergrounds ofc...

Like, it's possible. But currently it isn't. I'd have to have a graveyard table of deleted characters and union that table with the active character table. It would get confusing because there'd be characters with the same names in some cases.

^ Def not a priority, don't if it means putting too much time on it.
