Looking at the leaderboard I'd say a good portion of the other classes seem to be doing just fine. A few outliers that could probably be brought up but every class doesn't have to be amazing at the same things I don't think. Some classes will end up tankier, some burstier, some more consistent. We'll see though.

if you mean that the best boots for monk aren't the set ones, I agree... We can only hope that the new elite set(s) will address this...

I think he meant the best boots in general are going to end up being insanely well rolled rares.

^ dunno, all the elite rare boots I've found so far (not many tbh) have less armor than the uniques I found and I'm using ( Shadow Dancers/Reviled March)...

How about you? Have you found some great yellow ones? How high can the +%Enhanced Armor get?

I have yellows disabled so I can't say. Rocking Reviled March myself as well. I'd probably switch back to Shadow Dancers if I was farming mobs that stunned as well.

Elite sabatons can reach 44 base armor and max out at 100% enhanced armor. So 88. It might make it interesting to bump the maximum enhanced armor value.

Then it's a lot less than the unique ones. Thx for the info Mael.
Imho I wouldn't bump it - at least not by much - set/uniques should be better than rares. And keep in mind rares don't have a lvl req. (edit: not saying they should!)

Yeah, I like Uniques being BiS for lore and gameplay purposes. Finding that super sick, rare Unique FINALLY is always the best feeling. Reviled March it is until further notice, it seems. I didn't wanna sift through yellows anyway >.>

Yeah, you're right vezio... btw I really like the concept of no level req on rares... I think that's one of the coolest ideas I've had. It gives rare items a niche.

Me too! They're great for levelling! And I've used some well rolled ones up to lvl 60ish on some chars.
Btw I always have loot filter on blue ( so I will find yellows and above ) exp whenI'm in late Nightmare/Hell where elites can drop...

Probably better off using something with better stats, though. I mean damage caps at 99,999. So if I crit with those like.. over 100k damage is just wasted.

Plus I die a ton so.. theres pretty good evidence that maybe more dps isnt more better. But it may be more fun...

Wow, remember when hell was hard?

I feel partially responsible since i called for the monk buffs. 40k dps = 1200 health per second from cobra strike = total faceroll invincibility.

I have a high 90s monk so I'm by no means biased, but the kick damage scaling with boots needs to have a higher initial gain with diminishing returns. If anything it appears to have exponential returns and scaling entirely too high with the highest armor boots.

I don't think I changed monks that much, did I? Just buffed hand to hand damage... I think that was it?

tbh I'd have them straight up capped at whatever the new elite set boots can be upgraded to.

I mean I really can. My dps rocks. Unless it drops. My setup pretty much requires 5 mobs to be up or I cant do any sort of dps near the numbers I like seeing/my chain ends early. If I get stunned I go splat pretty quick, even blind or dex debuffs can make me fall so hard I cant keep up with the damage. But to be fair I havent died in a bit.

I've pretty much been spamming D since I got into farming hell. Its gotten better with every upgrade I guess.

EDIT: Ok I'm still mega squishy. Blind or stun = splat.
