Death Penalty at L97 is too Brutal

Is this ever going to change? Was level 99 meant to be something for the OCD 1% of gamers that dedicate their life to the game? I have made it to 20% or so of 97 about 6 times and I die because I look away from the computer. Why not allow some kind of 97% rez like EQ had. Really not worth my time playing if it stays like this.

I do have some plans in store to mitigate the exp penalty, but it is supposed to be difficult to hit 99. Generally it's probably a better idea to start another character.

Honestly some changes have happened since I hit 99 on the monk that seem like they would make it EASIER to cap. Namely, the mobs level scaling with your chain.

Haha 97... wait till 98.

Don't try to get 99... if it happens because you enjoy farming with that character, that's one thing. But actually grinding to 99 is not fun.

Yea, I know I had at least 4 if not 5 deaths in level 98. It's basically throwing half a day's grind in the trash each death.

Exp loss upon death is always a pain, but makes the game that much more enjoyable, and improves you as a player to not make the same mistakes again.
