Is this ever going to change? Was level 99 meant to be something for the OCD 1% of gamers that dedicate their life to the game? I have made it to 20% or so of 97 about 6 times and I die because I look away from the computer. Why not allow some kind of 97% rez like EQ had. Really not worth my time playing if it stays like this. |

I do have some plans in store to mitigate the exp penalty, but it is supposed to be difficult to hit 99. Generally it's probably a better idea to start another character. |

Honestly some changes have happened since I hit 99 on the monk that seem like they would make it EASIER to cap. Namely, the mobs level scaling with your chain. |

I like the idea of mitigation and I will check back every few weeks to see when it goes up. Thanks. |

Yea, I know I had at least 4 if not 5 deaths in level 98. It's basically throwing half a day's grind in the trash each death. |

Long Live Everquest! Exp loss upon death is always a pain, but makes the game that much more enjoyable, and improves you as a player to not make the same mistakes again. |
