Right on, I know that this is not a massive server owned by sony that you can do anything you want with. That you have web based limitations, Was more of a wonder if it was possible. As long as I'm able to get a SBS at level 10 20 or even 50 I'm down with that. I play this strongly, so It will not slow me down as long as I know I can get the uber int lootz :D Mana stone? lol thats the question, if you could put it in game, how would you make it work? Since its a clicky. Loving what your doing, don't stop :D

The Manastone IS in the game, but it is not a clicky. Well, it is likely to be in the game on Saturday. I gave it manastone-ish properties though (I'll let you guess). I made it very good due to its legendary status. I don't think I like the idea of introducing that right-click-to-use game mechanic. Probably for the same reason I don't like potion mechanics very much. The expendable, temporal nature of the effect just isn't part of my vision, I suppose. I had a really amazing cloak from the plane of sky, but you had to click it all the time. I just found it annoying despite the fact that it was an amazing haste item.

You said I should be able to download the game so I can load it off line right? Want to play this on a computer of mine that has no Internet options.

Side note just tried it for the first time on Explorer, and think it looks better on there for some reason. I am starting all my characters new on There :D

If that's the case then I should get a web development medal from God himself. Explorer sucks ! Let me think. You might be able to play it offline, but I can't promise you anything. In Firefox go to File > Save Page As > Webpage, Complete. Put it in one directory and see if you have problems. I can promise you that there is no server-side requirement aside from downloading the files at this time, though I'd love to implement ladder-like features one day.

SKs can't use daggers :ugeek: I'll have to investigate the other problems you mention. That problem is like cancer.

just started a new warrior... ever since he got this Empyrean Buckler of Courage his Slams are doing 64+ damage. at level 4. biggest Slam so far was 105 damage. with the starter shield he was doing substantially less damage (~10 damage per Slam). i can only assume this is a bug. :)

Empyrean Buckler of Courage

+8 Armor

+1 All Skills
-2% Fear Duration

the increased Slam damage isn't ramping up as i level, at least. doing the same Slam damage at level 7 as i was doing at level 4.

YES! I wasn't kidding. Slam kicks ass with a good shield. And of course you can time the stun until the last second. +1 all skills too! You're lucky. Don't worry too much about slam ramping up the way spells do. They're more dependent on what you find, but it will ramp up. What? Stunning and raping them for 64 wasn't enough?!

Edit: No, the big jump in damage with a new shield is by design ;) I wanted warriors to be very viable with a shield, so there had to be incentive to use one at all. Of course they can go the dual wield route too. Shields will affect another warrior skill down the road too.

oh wow

was such a huge game changer that i assumed it couldn't have been intended. good stuff. is Slam damage based on a shield's armor rating then? or something else?

also -- decaying skeletons and regular skeletons in Everfrost Peaks are casting Fireball

Skeletons used to cast that little fire attack, remember? Not exactly a fireball, but it was like a burst of flame. That is intentional! Yes, shield armor helps determine the power of slam. This is also true for Paladins and SKs.

heh just got an even better one handed mace right after i posted that, so no big deal about the dagger =p

also, though, despite the patch note about it... "a gnoll tactician" still quits attacking a short ways into the fight. haven't noticed that problem happening on any other mobs today, though.

edit -- two mobs in a row in beholder's maze just did the same thing. first "a gorge minotaur" then "a muddite elder." i did clear my cache right before loading the game, so.

edit 2 -- 5 out of 6 mobs so far in beholder's maze have had that bug. its making these fights pretty trivial. ;)

Gnoll Tacticians from Blackburrow were doing that? Odd. There's nothing special about them. I'll check that and Beholder's Maze out now. That's a serious problem that needs to go away yesterday. I know Chrome can be very fussy about properly clearing its cache sometimes (it happens to me), but I'll check!

Well I duplicated the problem. I'm about to remove kick from the game. arghh

hm, perhaps i hadn't actually cleared the cache properly before. i cleared the cache again from within chrome just now when i saw you had added the grey-mob filtering, but was still getting grey mobs afterwards.

i was able to clear the cache by going into my chrome directory and deleting the cache manually. grey mob filtering works now.

so yeah, maybe false alarm re: the "no attack" bug still being in.

Btw, in Chrome, Ctrl+Shift+Delete is a nice short cut to get to the cache data.

Post subject:  Re: Some questions, and some bugs I have found.

i'm having weird stuff happen since the grey-mob filtering change

mobs staying on the screen after they die, being unable to change targets when pulling a new mob, not getting EXP for kills with multiple mobs on screen... just general weirdness.

edit -- seems to have mostly been happening when i would try to switch targets while a mob was running. hasn't happened since i quit doing that.

Okay, try again now. I think I worked out most of the awful bugs I introduced. One step forward, two steps back!

By the power of Greyskull, I think I fixed it.

more weirdness now. this "a gnoll commander" wouldn't die as he was running away, even after i hit him with my lifetap... my lifetap hit for "undefined damage"... then there was major glitchage when he got to the edge of the screen and did the "comes back with help" thing... luckily i managed to run away.

notice my health in my character sheet window... "NaN"

weird stuff

same thing happened twice in a row. gonna attempt a third just to make sure, and then probably call it a night.

i had good progress tonight at least, 9 levels on my new warrior and 4 levels on my SK. :)

forgot to mention (though it might be obvious) that i was attempting to chain kills while that was happening

my third and fourth attempts just now went fine, but my fifth one presented the same glitch. i think maybe the glitch only happens when i attempt to pull a mob and a grey mob gets filtered out.

You're exactly correct. I just fixed it, so you should be good to go the next time you play. I hope that bug didn't corrupt your character data. If it did let me know. I can help you fix it.

i don't think it corrupted my character data, everything seemed to restore to normal after camping and relogging
