Yep, got one first or second muddite. Btw, are those supposed to be minors or miners? Never really did that zone, don't rightly remember.

Also noticed a redundancy typo in the Human description in the char creation screen:

"They also level faster than any other race. They level faster than other races and they are the only race that can play a monk."

Considering the other Muddites in this game are elders, minors makes sense.

You know what would be awesome? Bank tabs : ) Just Charge like 100k to have an extra bank tab to double your space! You could even donate the proceeds to all the starving shadowknights out there!

Also, some quest nameds become stuck as the only mob you can spawn, like in south ro and south karana (two ive noticed). After you finish the quest, they are always the next mob you find once you're out of combat and search for a mob.

i've resorted to starting up bankmule characters, lol :) gonna have to start Bankmulefour soon

Anyone experience this issue?

Never seen this.. uhhhh. Is this constant or is some kind of event triggering this behavior?

Protip: Hit CTRL+SHIFT+J and see if anything pops up in the JS (JavaScript) Error console (filter to see Errors only).

I fixed it by making a new character, logging it in and out, then in again... then my other toon was fixed as well. Yeah...

I'll do the CTRL+SHIFT+J next time it happens.

Thanks pal.

You know, I had something like that happen when I made my first char too, and I had kinda forgotten about it. Nothing worked, no tooltips, but when I logged out and back in, it fixed it just fine.

Tried it again here at work, and it seems to be something with the first char you create on a fresh "account," for lack of a better word. Both Firefox and IE broke on new chars, mostly with the mouse. Tooltips didnt work, I couldn't click any ability, nor items in inventory, or the different tabs in the character window. I could click on the menu/window buttons on the right, and travel around on the map. On IE I could use the keyboard for abilities, but not the different windows. And on Firefox, the keyboard didn't seem to work at all.

I checked the error console on both, and nothing was popping up when I was logged in, but it seems like something broke in the char/file creation process. And logging out and back in fixed both, so its kinda hard to reproduce. When I get home I can check on my other computer and see if anything pops up.

Yeah, those descriptions are probably incredibly outdated. Written ages ago. In fact, that's not even true anymore. Halflings have an exp bonus and humans do NOT.

I would really appreciate that. Let me know if you see anything. I barely have time or resources to test the millions of possible things that can go wrong. :x

Hey Maelfyn,

I remember when I created my first toon, i was unable to perform any actions aside from navigating the menus (character stats, inventory, camp). Camping my character and reentering the game fixed it.

I just introduced a friend to this game yesterday, and he had the same issue. Camping character and reentering corrected the issue. I don't think Race/Class has anything to do with it, as my wood elf ranger had the issue, as did his ogre warrior.

Hope it helps.

Hopefully some of this is helpful...

This first part is Firefox on my spare computer. Unfortunately, its mostly an offline media box, and I didn't think to update anything before I tried this. So its probably a crap version of Firefox that is causing a bunch of these errors. This is what it displayed when I loaded the page: (note, the last 3-4 lines repeated like 50 times with different line numbers)

This is what popped up when I created a character and logged in on Firefox on the same machine. And the last line here was a repeating error, since there was a counter that was up over 3000 last I checked on it:

Starting IE on that computer caused it to crash, but I hadn't used IE on my main computer, so I went to grab the info off that. Unfortunately, when I camped out, it reset the console before I copied it. From the look of it though, it was just having an issue with the music (IE probably doesn't like *.ogg's) However, I did get some error similar to this when I clicked anywhere on the screen that wasn't an actual button/window.

ReferenceError: $NG2 is not defined @ http://www.nevergrind.com/scripts/java2.js?v0-5-59:1311

That's from Firefox, so not exactly what I was getting with IE, but it kept mentioning $NG2 not defined.
---------------

I really hope there's something useful in there. I did notice one thing doing all this though - using Firefox on 3 different computers, and IE on 2 of them, they all hit the same bug when creating the initial character. Its something about that first login that doesn't work right, because it never happens after that. I only have tried Chrome with my main file, and I dont remember if it happened there. I dont really use Chrome otherwise, so I didn't check on my spare/work comps, but maybe I can d/l that tomorrow and check if you haven't figured it out. I'm just running out of "first" logins to try it on :|

I'm quite sure this is the only problem. Hell of a bug that only pops up on initial creation. I think what's causing it is it creates your bank for the first time in local storage and it tries to update it, but it doesn't exist so it just derails at that point.

Nice! I think it worked :) You HAVE to clear your local storage completely in order to see this bug. I just created a character from scratch and logged in with no problem in IE10. Thanks all!

Is there a way to find what various item procs do? Such as Mind Hew and Arctic Blast. Also, some misc skills like the Warrior Furious Scorn "discourages opponents and reduces strength by X.X%". Not sure what discourages opponents means in game terms.

It means nothing. Just a brief explanation of why their strength is lowered. As for the procs, you gotta use it and see :D There's no explanation.

So I killed Nagafen (at 47, hooray~) and the quest is still in my log, and resets when I relog. I assume this is to make him repeatable?

Also he just dropped a bunch of crap loot. Pretty sure thats a bug 8-)

There's a missing comma in the quest description of Solusek's Eye 3: Into the Furnace.

Between 4 Cwg Model Mcs(Missing comma here) 4 lava elementals.

Nice one. Class? How'd it go? Any thoughts? That's really pretty good at 47. The loot is a def bug. No doubt!

Edit: yes, that's so it's repeatable. I get this question a lot. Maybe I should indicate that.

Pretty much. Even with Dauntless its easy enough to keep him locked down with fears, and enough cooldowns to keep from dying in the gaps. I had gotten some nice gear lately (GEB's, Manastone, Exceptional Kedge Robe) so that helped too.

A bit easy overall, so much so that I almost still killed him when I accidentally spawned a fire giant at 30% on my first try  Still got pretty close at a few points, he was no slouch when he got a chance to wail on me. Much easier than Vox, but I only tried her a few times at 43, and couldn't beat the heal. I plan to get my revenge tomorrow, and then kill some fish dude too.

I've noticed that if a mob dies from an AE spell, such as Ranger's Volley, while it is in the middle of an attack animation and there are other mobs still in combat, it stays on screen in a more forward position (closer to the camera) instead of disappearing like normal when it dies.

Anyone know how life/mana leach figures in per hit? One of my characters has a hp leach of 11, but when attacking, I constantly have small numbers (1,3, etc) popping up on each hit.

Post subject:  Re: Some questions, and some bugs I have found.

So you can use Diamond Skin while casting another spell, but only if you click the skill, it doesn't work using the keyboard. I'd guess thats a bug, but I dunno really.

Whats neat about it is if you do it while casting a spell with a cooldown, it'll reset it. And then it does the same thing that I saw with the travel/login thing I mentioned earlier, and will do multiple cooldowns. The ability is lit up, but theres a number counting down on it, and when you use the ability, it just starts another cooldown, both of which tick down simultaneously. And whats really cool is that when you use the ability, it just triggers a new CD. So say you cast Fear on something, and then in the middle of the cast click DS. Your Fear will happen, display a 30 sec CD, but the button is lit up. You wait 15 seconds, cast fear again, and you have one timer at 30, and one at 15. From that point, the game basically just treats it like you have 2 different overlapping CD's on Fear, and if you cast it as soon as it pops up, you can keep it going indefinitely.

Makes me think its a problem with the CD system, since its the same behavior I saw from the earlier bug. Like it just creates CD's independent from the abilities, and doesn't really check/care if there are multiple timers for the same ability.

Oh, and I'm glad to see one of my favorite "bugs" from real EQ:

"a fierce impaler kicks you..."

But......how??? Its a fish!!!

Total bug. Fixed. Magician's Burnout was discovered to have the same problem recently.
