Benefits of the target dummy:
- I can now test almost any combat thing in the city.
- I don't have to jump to multiple zones to check bank, test combat stuff, talents, etc.
- Enemies don't fight back so I can wait around forever while coding and not worry about dying.

Ya know, I have thought about starting new characters in cities and the first optional quest would be to kill the target dummy. Then a tutorial would show you how to use Search, Attack, Meditate, and the Map. I've watched some new players play this game and some of them are absolutely clueless and have no idea what to click. Any thoughts?

Provide an optional tutorial if you wish. What is your vision for this game, Mael? Is there monetization in the future? Do you want to service the niche nostalgic EQ market? Just who is your target market? These are questions you want to answer before starting spend time designing features like tutorials.

Mainly old timey EQ crowd, but I think it has appeal beyond that, too. Really anyone that enjoys RPGing in their web browser. Monetization will be part of the picture, but not to the extent that it ruins the community I've scraped together thus far. I figure that local play will always be free. I'm not dying for money IRL, so I don't want greed to screw up the creative joy I get from my side project.
