I've been playing a bard the past few days, and this is what I've come up with at level 96.
Max Anthem De Arms
Max Hymn of Restoration
Max Desperate Dirge
Max Chant of Battle
and put all the extra points into whatever you want.
You basically start off with your standard heal, accellando, anthem, desperate dirge, chords of dissonance, and rinse and repeat.
At a lower level you are much better off to start with Desperate Dirge maxed and hymn of restoration. That spells just destroys at a low level. I was pulling non-stop 5 up all through regular and nightmare like this. Now taht I am in Hell, it is much harder.
I have dual singing short swords (bard epic) and I believe the proc on it actually restores mana. So I can spam my mana drain heal and my shield without ever getting low on mana.
Max DPS with 75% crit, 200% crit damage, 56% cast haste and 60% attack haste with this build is only around 4500 or so. I honestly don't think I'll be able to do better DPS than this.
I have no interest in charming anything, so I have honestly never even specced into it once, so that may actually be nice, but there is no way I'm stacking charisma... It aint happenin'.
