Don't be surprised if you log in one day and all of your action icons are different. This will probably be pretty confusing at first, but it's a necessary change.

They're changed as of about 5 minutes ago. I guess when you're getting like 40 page views a day you don't really take these concerns seriously. But since I'm getting over 1000 page views every day as of late, I am considering liberating this project from any IP concerns. In fact even SOE stuff kind of limits the full potential of this project in the long term.

In any case, it's not a "downer" in my book. I think the icons are quite good and are done by a talented artist.

haven't looked at any of the icons other than the ones on my Shadow Knight, but i like them. the only two that i don't think fit are the icons for Fear and Harm Touch, and i think its just the color of them that bugs me... the pink is okay on Shadow Vortex, but i don't think pink is right for two of the SK's most used and defining skills. imo have him switch Fear to a dark purple and Harm Touch to a bright red.

looking great tho otherwise imo :) you can tell the artist one of your oldest players thinks he's a good fit for your project. =p

Thanks pharmakos. Yeah I think some of these are still subject to change. I was really low on melee-oriented icons, but I think they do the job and I don't have to worry about raising eyebrows at Activision. I might end up commissioning the same artist to make a few melee icons for me.

I like them for the necro, with the exception of the Pink swirly fear icon....maybe something that draws from the Howling Terror or or Invoke Death ones...Bone Spirit could use a color change too!

I changed up the colors as you guys suggested. I think you were right about the color. A shift+F5 should pull them up next time you visit. I didn't bother to force the cache refresh.

It's possible the artist will be making some more melee'ish icons for me since most of them are very spell oriented. So that'll be a nice improvement too.

agreed. swirls and splashes are a bit too abstract for melee abilities.
