I think skill resets make sense in an MMORPG, but in an "action RPG" like Nevergrind, I am starting to think it's a mistake. It makes your character lose their uniqueness. It makes your talent decisions less important since it can be changed at any moment. Every level 99 warrior is exactly the same since a skill reset is a click away. I am seriously considering removing this prior to 1.0. Thoughts? Convince me I'm wrong. |

I'd like having the option to reset skills. Things change in the game; skills get nerfed, equipment changes leading to different skills being utilized, and some people just like to change things around whenever(I'm one of those). Also, you don't start out with all the skills, so you don't know which will be more useful in the late game. If you can't change them it'll force people to bank their points until they know what everything is. Then one wrong click of the mouse and your tree is janked with no way to change it. Please don't get rid of the reset. |

It worked well in Diablo 2... so why wouldn't it work for NG? |

I understand that Nevergrind is entering its marketing phase pretty soon, so I can see why you may want to get rid of a few things that could be re-introduced as a cash shop item. But skill resets should not be one of them! This is a bad idea mainly because I'm biased EHERMM. . .hrm. . I mean. . . because the trees are more balanced at different levels. For example, every class has a talent tree who's first talent is making the starting skill stronger (the one you will be spamming pretty much all game). Most of the time the talent only adds 2% damage, and if you want anything in that tree you have wait a while before you realize any difference. Other talent trees offer decent character improvement right away. On the other hand, some end game talents are really awesome at first, but flicker out as gear gets better. For example the detonate soul talent from the necromancer's tree. It is an amazing skill when you first max out its talent, but 40 levels later fireball outdamages it, and it's no cooldown and AOE which detonate isn't. If this went live, it would require a complete rehaul of all the talent trees so that they all flow better with the game's progression. |

Hm, tough decision. I'll think about it. Maybe it's okay how it is. |

Oh... I could remove it, but charge $1 for a skill reset... *hand rubbing intensifies* |

Since going the monetize route could you add in an option to get every unlock for a one time fee? I much rather pay 40 bucks upfront than all these tiny transactions. Dun care if it´s economically viable (as a customer). |

I could make it so you do a bulk purchase of specific things at a better value. I plan to make monetization as painless as possible. Well, that's the plan at least. |

You could sell tokens. $1 per Token, and they do everything: Toon slot unlocks, bank opening, talent resets...blah, blah, blah. |

Yeah, the whole premium currency thing seems to be a good idea... Like $1 buys 10 crystals... not exactly an original idea, but it works very well. This would allow for very cheap transactions as well. The young lady is now 5 months old. She is doing very well and smiles all the time I'm hoping that once she sleeps through the night, I'll have a little more dev time! I normally develop much faster than this |
