Hey guys,
I really enjoy this game so I decided to share what I can with the community via the Wiki page. Here's my first entry for an armor piece I found. Is there anything else I should include?

https://nevergrind.com/wiki/index.php?t ... st_Flicker

Thanks in advance :)

Looks good to me. I was thinking the image would be the tooltip... but I think you're right. The icon probably makes more sense. I laid out that template to make life easy. Btw, did you do this because of the new "wiki harassment" message? lol

I suppose if someone wanted to be a real boy scout they could put the tooltip and the icon images. Honestly, one or the other will work. This doesn't really show the armor type, though (chain?). You'd have to hit the main table for that.

You right! I should add the type of armor (you are correct it is chain) When you were thinking about the tooltip you are regarding the detailed info about the item? Because I wrote down the bonuses at the chart. but if you want the full tooltip I don't see any reason not to do it.

And yeah, I actually didn't really know the game has a Wiki page before I saw the notice ;) But it's kind of neat that the game has it. Just wondering though, are unique and set items bonus are random as well? or they always the same?

Having the tooltip in there was my personal line-of-thinking. Like, in classic EQ I always saw the actual tooltip. The table is good for showing extra detail like possible range values, extra notes, and whatever else.

What does occur to me is I need to add these items to a category. Once you're on that page there's like no way to bounce up to the Chest page.

What do you mean by possible range value? Like stat bonus range value? Aren't those constant to the unique or set item?

No, most of them have a small range of values. This is something I have considered changing though... just for simplicity's sake. On the other hand it's kind of nice to hunt for better versions of the same item at the top end.

In that case there's no point really to the Wiki page when it comes to items. Because at the end when you look at the Wiki for items you are looking for something specific that suits your char/build and if the stats are due to change per drop and not constant then the item you are looking at the Wiki page can be irrelevant, unless you are keeping the same bonus category (like increased gold find) but change the attribute given to that bonus. In that case the tooltip and the chart can be helpful. the tooltip will show a version of the armor with given bonuses and the chart could broaden the info with the range of bonus that could be given to the that stat. My best suggestion is that when it comes to really high level epic items maybe make them more rear but with permanent bonuses and stats...

It always gets the same properties. The values vary slightly... like 6-8. Stuff like that. I wouldn't be surprised if I changed these values to constants for a variety of reasons.

Whichever way you choose let me know so I'll know which type of info I should include on the Wiki page. If it's okay with you, for now though, I'll stick to just the icon and the chart (I've already did several items that way and I hate doing the same job twice unless it's really necessary :D)

How's this? I think this is gud. Prob best to keep all data in the table except the image. It's easier to read. And with those extra rows you can link back to the parent page.

Let me work on this random value thing today. Originally i liked the value range idea, but I think the game needs more constancy lol

Yeah. Would definitely be good for the wiki and for future secret reasons.

Looks great. I'm not really familiar with link usage though, how do it that when I put in the "chest" type it'll connect to the correct link?

Why won't just ask the ppl? Do a simple survey using the forums?

Internal links are [[Article_Title]].

I'll have an update tonight that makes the values static.

I uploaded a picture to Wiki and I would like to remove it. How do I do that?

I think you can just upload over it using the same name?

You can also just search the file name and then ... maybe delete it? I see the option. Not sure if you do.

None of the above worked, eventually I just uploaded a file with the same name with a little difference and used the one I needed :)

Patch 0-8-84 has the new static values for unique and set items. Update their wiki entries in confidence that they'll always have the same values now. The old items are not retroactively updated.

Added in a bunch of stuff today. I'll keep working on it as I go along. Hardest part will probably be the set items to try to find and be able equip all 4-5 pieces at a time to notate bonuses.

Don't worry about the set bonuses. I'll add those in.

Btw, the unique items no longer have ranged values, so you guys don't have to worry about that anymore.
