i thought alt-tab auto paused the game. i picked up a call form my gf.

thats about it

but it doesn't excuse anything because a simple press of escape pauses the game. there are a few HC 'strats' that need to be worked out by the community. let it happen imo. atm i'm pretty much the only one hitting the hc ladder hard, its desolate... but if you look closely, there are some coming up folks.

they all go slower than myself, but im reckless. HC is not for the reckless. every new attempt i change things up. although this was an accident... the next move won't have a bit of accident in it. that's what HC is for.

Enchanters, Shaman, and Clerics on top of HC leaderboard. Who would have guessed?!

When I have some time, I'd love to attempt a HC let's play with... um... Paladin maybe. Or ... Druid??!

I need to get back to the cleric, now that there's open space at the top and the shaman out leveled me. Ranger is too fun atm though.

Will probably try my hand at HC once I get to 99 on my warrior. Provided I don't get totally burnt out in the grind. haha

I'm actually surprised he beat it with Rogue. I imagine it wasn't easy, probably some cheese rotation of control skills to keep single target locked down.

Haha yes. Sort of like how my ranger went from bubble > weapon shield > bubble for 10 minutes. Mad skills. But definitely props, rogue is one of the last classes I expected to clear. It seems casters are struggling, Nero and Corpse get props for that (but wiz and necro seem alright).

They're certainly squishy.. but bosses die pretty quick due to Lacerate being absolutely stupid (don't think I died on one). I'll get that recording stuff figured out and post a video of it.

What to tackle next?! heh

Aw yes the bleed on lacerate. As much as it'll hurt my bard, all skills who's damage is based on a % health need to go away.

Shaman is easy and hasn't been done yet. Cleric is super easy to level but struggles a bit endgame. Druid is still open and a lot of fun, I failed to finish endgame on local with mine although I think I could now.

Or go big, play the fabled class that is so bad even after being buffed paladin. Apparently you can stun lock with pally and do one of those elite tactical strategies.

I beat Hell with Gorgur at the start of this week. I just haven't been on the forums til now and haven't had much free time to play since.

Funny you say that - doing Paladin and it's incredibly easy and pretty OP.. haven't even died yet and just hit L.45.

How was pally?

Author:  mukkel [ Sat Apr 25, 2015 11:54 pm ]
Post subject:  Re: The official season 1 firsts thread

It wasn't bad - Didn't die until around L.91 on some crazy pull where a lava beetle wouldn't stop spamming spells.

The heals are very lackluster and ultimately some fights took me a couple of attempts. Damage was OK. Your bread and butter abilities:

Rebuke - Hits 5x with lightning.
Yaulp - Frenzy for 8 seconds.

..certainly help. Everything else is kind of meh and on huge cooldowns. I had 7 abilities in rotation during combat and 6 of them are pretty much always on cooldown.

I found some pretty awesome Monk stuff this last run so I may give Monk a spin with some crazy vendor bought boots from Hell just for fun. Think I'm done grinding characters up through to Hell Nalatos for a bit. heh

Figured I'd better finish my monk before mukkel did.
