I have reworked the racial skills a bit and I'm pretty excited about implementing these changes. I want each race to have an appealing skill. I want race to be a tough decision because each skill is so cool. I'm not going to announce them yet, but this is the announcement of the announcement. 8-)

The only racials that will NOT change are Dark Elf and Ogre. All others are being adjusted slightly, improved, or completely redesigned.

Nice!

I'm really glad you went the route of buffing the others rather than nerfing. Excited to see the changes!

If a skill breaks the way a player is playing his char, will they get a race-change ?

Probably not. I actually considered allowing race changes, but that's sort of strange and ruins my roleplaying experience. In seriousness, I actually considered adding this as a monetized feature.

He's not touching dark elf and ogre. Aside from maybe halfling and high elf early on, all the other racials are pretty useless imo.

Edit: Make high elf mana regen and troll regen scale by level! That would be an awesome and balanced change. 9 mana regen is incredible for low levels for example but not so much for high levels, I get that from my pants alone.

I don't know if you actually want suggestions but that hasn't stopped me in the past.

Great to hear!! And nice that you'll buff the other racials to be on par with the Ogre and Dark Elf ones !

Nice!

Do you have cooldowns in mind for the activated skills?

1. Will the human passive secondary regen effect other secondary resources i.e. spirit, technique, or rage? Seems flat value identical to mp would be pretty reasonable.
2. Why's troll regen every 4 seconds and not per tick (3 seconds?). Seems unusual.
3. Wood Elf, talented Evade is very different (invincibility vs stun), wood elf going to be a stun?

1. At this time... no. Maybe for warriors and monks, but I don't see what could be done for rogues.
2. That's just the rate it is. Hp regen is every 4. MP is every 3.
3. Yep, just the stun version. So you'll benefit from the damage bonus on the first hit.

Great to hear you're wanting to overhaul the race perks. I just wish I didn't roll all my characters on the first day of access.

currently level 49 half elf

at 85.8 in all stats I get from the current skill.

-10% to critical chance
-about 400 health
-about 200 mana
-3% critical damage

vs

-Breaks stun/fear and triggers
-1% of max health hp regen for 9 seconds

seems like the new skill will be very situation where as the old skill I used a lot for bosses
really helps with damage and survival.

Could also see myself getting a little frustrated if I hit the new skill only to then be stunned again
would feel like a waste even with the hp regen. That also can happen with the current skill.
:D

Also just wanted to say really like the game it is very addicting you did a great Job making it.

Thanks for the feedback! I don't know... those fear/stun break skills become very popular... just look at ogres and Will of the Forsaken in WoW. Even if you get double stunned/feared at least you will have the regen working for you. Regaining control of your character is often times a lifesaver... how many times do you sit there thinking... if only I could break this fear.... ugh. This could be a gamebreaker in hardcore mode.
