It's bad because I don't know it. I also associate it with all of the shitty, bloated enterprise software I've seen in my life.

Can you not leverage your javascript skills? Pick up Angular or Node.js and surely there's a ton of jobs out there......?

Yeah... on my list of things to learn... node seems cool. Honestly I don't have a high opinion of angular. If google won't drink their own kool aid then I am not convinced. A lot of people like it though, so good for them, I guess! There's probably a reason you'll never see a browser game developed with Angular. The performance sucks.
Maybe one is out there, but I haven't heard of it. Nothing compares to Nevergrind's amazing performance™!.

Nevergrind is the result of what I produce in a few hours in the evening after my kids go to bed. I would love to see what I could produce with 12+ hours a day of dev time. I am definitely highly productive and if I a larger budget that would be awesome, too. Well, Rome isn't built in a day. I will continue improving everything around here. There are a lot of positive indicators, so I will continue moving forward.
