Tips and tricks for playing Agario

I still suck at this game, but I plan to name myself nevergrind.com and be #1. Some day. I just want to see what kind of effect it would actually have on traffic.

Btw I think it's hilarious that this mainstream article shows a NSDAP swastika in the skin image.

That game is like part luck part strategy and part preservense, i rememeber once getting top 10 just by eating one guy who was chased by someone else and then the guy who was chasing me didn't realize i was bigger so i ate him too. Boom triple size xD

there's definitely strategy. takes me maybe 5-10 minutes to break into the top 10 now.

was doubting my estimate in the last post, so i timed myself this time. took 12 minutes to break into the top 10. was #1 at 24 minutes in. i alternated between #1 and #2 until 45 minutes in, when i got taken out by two cells that were apparently working together. #1 was split into two cells, i was #2 so i was big enough that i could eat #1's smaller cell. the cell that was at ~#4 was right next to them, i assumed they were chasing each other, so it seemed like a good opportunity to sneak in and maybe eat them both. instead, what happened was cell #4 split in half, fed himself to cell #1's bigger half, and then cell #1 grew just big enough that it was able to consume me.

i watched them for awhile after i died, and they were in a cycle of continuously feeding each other while hanging out next to each other. they tag team chased down a few other cells near edges. they were obviously working together... not sure if it was two separate people, or a single person two boxing, though. i've thought about two boxing. seems too cheap, though...

i remembered about mael wanting the name "nevergrind.com" at #1.... right as i reached #1. promise i'll use that name next time i play, and take note of the time so we can see if there's a traffic spike. =p

That'd be pretty funny... just for science of course.

I rocked the nevergrind.com name yesterday and today. Unfortunately I'm not great at it (yet)

It's definitely a fun game. It's also ultra simple, but that's part of its appeal, for sure. I think being able to name yourself anything is also a big plus. I find the names hilarious and it's like half of the fun for me. It's always something like SPLC chasing Adolf Hitler chasing Tumblr. It's like a Benny Hill episode.

Maybe? Nothing insanely dramatic.

It does seem like he doubled the traffic for an hour or so?

also was the time of day when a lot of people get out of work / school, tho. so who knows.

will have to repeat the experiment, and stay #1 for longer next time =p

I did spend 3-5am (est) between number 5 and number 1 tonight though. Nevergrind.com ftw.

later on in that match i finally got taken out by a well timed virus spawn. by that point there was someone on the leaderboard with the name "Israel did 9/11." so i named my next cell "Israel did 4/20." he and i ended up teaming up and rocked #1 and #2 on the leaderboard for like 15 minutes.

i died in a blaze of glory. i was next to 9/11, and someone managed to pop me with a virus. i was caught in a spot where i couldn't get away. the person that popped me was about to eat me, so i quickly split a bunch of times and fed myself to 9/11.
