dude, i'm loving the quests :) more carrots dangling in front of me = better lol

i'm having the same health bar issue as two posts above, tho

also, for some reason i'm encountering gnolls in south ro. i think maybe the NPC database for sro somehow got mixed up with qhills... seeing grizzly bears and brown bears too.

oh and unfortunately all my character data got deleted. dunno how, might have been something i did accidentally? no big deal though, half the reason i play this is to help you test stuff, so i don't mind starting from scratch :)

i do miss my malefyn's infinite loops tho =p

Hey, I think you will enjoy the bosses I'm putting in now. I'm having a blast just testing it! I'll check up on the issues you mentioned.

Hey Maelfyn, can you add a yellow text that tells you when your songs/spells wear off? I tend to waist mana by recycling my songs to fast on my bard. The main songs i'm watching for is cords of d. Since you can see your buffs.

in town, if i go to the merchant first and then try to open the bank it tells me ~"you must first exit the merchant before opening the bank".... but there's no exit button on the merchant window :) the only way around it is to open the upgrade screen then hit cancel.

Yeah, ya know how about I add that as a debuff icon on all mobs?

Say what? The Exit button should be right at the bottom.

Wanted to post a bug I've noticed which I'd reported a while back. It was fixed shortly after, but it seems to have been reintroduced to the game. The game automatically switches targets if you are facing more than two mobs and one of them dies. Best way I could explain it is with this example:

Say there are three mobs. Mob A has 1% hp. You have dots on it and it is about to die. Mob B has 50% hp. It is your current target. You are in the middle of casting a nuke on it. Mob C is a new target with 100% hp. Mob A dies. Your target automatically switches to Mob C and the nuke that you were casting on Mob B now casts on Mob C instead.

Thanks

That would be even better sir, I am digging my Bard, finally around level 21 or 22.

I've been noticing this allot also, Its not so bad on my bard unless I have a pet. When I have the pet, depending on the order I kill it will put the target on him, while I'm trying to clear everything else. Not detrimental for a bard, but for a caster I can see how much of a pain it could be.

Have another possible bug report. I've noticed that spells consistently do less damage than their tooltips suggest. The same problem does not exist for non-spell abilities, as far as I can tell. Just wondering if it's a problem with the spells themselves or just with the tooltips.

Not so much a bug but for a bard I have found a mob that can't be killed even when you have Tesch Val Kadvem as your pet. I've even spammed bellow and can't kill him, because he keeps healing himself.

there is an exit button below merchant and upgrade, but if you click that one then you have to re-enter the town to keep shopping/upgrading. :) would be nice if there was a cancel/exit button on the merchant window.

not a huge deal, just a convenience thing.

also, an old bug seems to have returned in a minor form -- twice today in Blackburrow 2 i ran into Socho Darkpaw and he just stood there not attacking. the second time he attacked right at the beginning, but then stopped after i bashed him a single time. the first time i don't think he attacked at all.

I can see what you mean about it closing the entire menu, I never noticed that before. I only loot gold items, so I don't use the merchant that often once I have gear for my character. I had that happen today for me. With a few mobs. Seemed to be mostly when a pet hits the mob, when the pet becomes uncharmed, then it just stands there. Might be that he got bashed by the othe rmob because I don't have bash myself.

Oh, okay, I see what you're saying. That stop attacking bug has been the death of me. I'll look into it. Let me know if it happens again. Every clue is good. Socho backstabs, so maybe it has something to do with that.

Pharmakos, I think you can just click other buttons without exiting. Just click Upgrade Item or Training and it will go to those windows.

Bonus points: You can also hit space bar to clear windows.

Hey Maelfyn Don't know if it is a bug or how its suppose to work but Bard song: cassindra's chorus of clarity is not raising at all. Since I got it It has not raised the amount of mana it regenerates. it is still 6 mana per tick at level 25.

I also have noticed, that I have not in the several hundred Unique drops I've gotten that there is no Plate helms, and on the Wiki there aren't either. Am I just missing them?

Solusek Eye 2 quest I have finished all but the slay the Goblin Bartender because he is not spawning. I've spawned Singe at least 6 times, and another named about 4 but no bartender? Is it a bug or is he just that rare.

I've had a similar problem, Cords. I was able to spawn Singe once, but it was before I had slain the other required mobs for the quest. While grinding on mobs, I fought the bartender about 4 times.

Which brings me to a possible bug report in questing in general. Is it intended that boss mobs don't count as kills in quests until the requirement for lesser mobs being killed is fulfilled? I seem to recall that they did a few days ago, and then it was changed.

I'll fix the bartender. The named mobs should appear once you're done "clearing" the normals. I test all the quests, but somehow this one still fell through the cracks. I'll look into clarity too. I am sure unique plate helms drop, but I am not sure at what levels. It might not be until higher levels, but I forget exact numbers now. I'll post when the bartender is fixed so you all don't waste your time on that quest.

I have a plate helm on my warrior, haven't put it up on wiki yet. I will now. I got it before required levels though, so don't know what it should be.

Just fixed this. Basically what happens is it will show him the first time you press Search Battle, but then it doesn't reset. If you press it twice, you wouldn't be able to find him again, unless you got lucky and found him randomly. Now it resets every time you search out of combat. Fixed in next patch update (0-4-192).

Yes, this is a design inconsistency that came about as I was figuring out what I thought was the best design. Some quests REQUIRE killing the boss at the end, while some do not. In the end I'll probably make it so they must all be killed in the "finale". If you happen to come across him before that, that's just a bonus boss kill.
