Is this serious? How? I've never seen any positive feedback of it. What's the deal?

Very odd. Google fu'd it and it seems like some kind of honeypot vaporware. It's like a bot posted the same crap in different forums. I think Tyen creates accounts to respond to himself to make it look like people are interested, too. Over a year ago he personally sent me the link to his site, but I thought it was way too ambitious for a browser. Why doesn't he have a forum or any real way to communicate with the developer in a public forum.

^ that's exactly what happened.... Tyen has scripts to create large numbers of accounts on various websites. he spammed the hell out of the Project1999 forums that way too.... like sometime last year.

I'm curious how he got 40k likes because I don't think very many are legit. I have struggled for my 53! lol.. must be some kind of account botnet circlejerk. Who knows.

one day on the Project1999 forums he created like 1,000 new accounts.... all numbered

i.e. EQBrowser0001, EQBrowser0002, EQBrowser0003, etc

and he used them to start mass spamming the admins with reported posts (i assume the reports were all scripted as well)

the dude is smart as hell, its just too bad he seems to be fairly mentally unstable lol...

Wow, what a special guy.

The guy may be some kind of smart but he has done nothing to make the game worth playing, at least what I've seen of it. tbh I would like to have a eqemu server of my own, that runs classic to Velious and only let my friends play on it, but I'm not smart enough to do that. I would pay someone to do that but no one has stepped up

I think you have at least put depth, tons of time, creativity into your game that makes me come back every day. Even if I had the solo/lan server I would still play this, because there is so much that is coming that I don't want to miss.

Yea, I mean eqemu gives you info on how to do it, I am just not enough of a geek to do it. plus I don't want all of Titanium. I don't want to play Project 1999 because of the Raid guild power timing the raid mobs.

the raid scene on Project1999 has gotten way better. as of earlier this year there is a rotation for all the raid mobs other than Veeshan's Peak stuff... i'm in a pretty casual guild (<Azure Guard>) and we've been downing a dragon/god or two a week for the last couple months. we just killed Trakanon last night.... no poopsocking/batphoning necessary,

oh, and i specifically want the Project1999 database for my dream server because the stock EQEmu database is pretty inaccurate... screwy loot tables / spawn timers / mob locations / pathing / etc etc etc.... the Project1999 database is like 95%+ classicly accurate by this point, though.

I've been waiting for Titanium to go down, but if your playing and its gotten better I'll get in. I only play a bard and I know what I'm doing so leveling will be fast even without much starting gear. I just need to find a cheap good drum, and the lambent quest is not too hard.

That would be sick, I don't need plat level 20, because I do the qeynos bard quests, and sash quests for bronze gear to wear/sell. Er thats what I did in classic

and cords, yeah i know bards are like the kings of naked levelling sometimes its hard to find mobs up in South Karana and Overthere because of bards there AE kiting the whole zone.

I hope to see your project come to fruition, but you lack a fundamental understanding of marketing in a way that could be made into an Onion article. My recommendation is to continue working on your project, and if you do a good job, you can have real internet friends like your efforts rather than digital blow up dolls.
