My level 57 monk has a crit rate of about 27%. When playing yesterday I seemed to have about a 1/4 chance of any swing being a crit. Today, I am seeing very few crits, it looks to me that either crit rates have been reduced dramatically, or they have been turned off for skill based attacks.

Checking now. Btw, stat page will now show the raw value and the actual values for skills affected by diminishing returns.

Hmmm.... For some reason my crit rate WAS 28%. But now it says -22.2% - -22 .2%

Eh, negative? What the... I'll take a look at this tonight. I don't know how that's possible.

Seems to fluctuate, sometimes it will be positive sometimes negative. I am not sure if this is just a visual thing or if it is really affecting crits. I have noticed that I am definitely not getting the 30% crit rate I would expect. Interestingly though I have not seen a huge drop in DPS, so I think this might be a visual issue as well, where crit damage is still applied but does not visually show as a crit.

This bug has happened to me quite a bit before. I think there are some debuffs that will reduce your crit rate, but like you I never noticed a reduction in DPS.

Okay, I think I figured it out. I think your character's dex was pretty low. Perhaps below 70? This was causing a bug that was not checking if a value was below 0 and was causing negative values. Thanks for pointing this out. Should be fixed next patch.

My Dex is 144, is there a common debuff that would reduce Dex enough to put me into the range that would cause this bug?

No, I don't think that's it. What class are you playing where you get this bug?

Monk, level 73 now
