I deleted my character Flee yesterday. I then tried to recreate that character with the same name, but the name is still in use. I see he is still on the leaderboards as well. Is there a process to get the name released so it can be reused?

We've been told the names will become available at the end of the Season. Not sure how long that will be.

I plan to change this so that deletes will nuke a name. Right now it doesn't do that. It causes some problems because it means a character would be non-recoverable. But it seems maybe people don't care about that so much.

Is there an "are you sure" dialog? Or maybe it could be recoverable for 24/48/etc. hours, then gets purged?
If someone's annoying brother or friend plays a bad joke on your level 98.9 hardcore char...a way to recover would be welcome.

I could do something else, like output the character data to a file somewhere. That would require some extra work, but certainly possible.

Whatever's the least amount of work for you to:
- protect us against our annoying brothers/friends
- allow us to re-roll a character and keep the name (maybe after a delay)
