Here's a screen capture I took of what's been happening over the last couple of minutes. I restarted my browser and tried again, but encountering actually worse. I've got nothing else running on my PC right now. https://youtu.be/Ut8wiRZsD38

In all likelihood it was Firefox's memory manager shitting itself. I recently permanently switched to Chrome for the same reason. Firefox gets worse every day.

Well sort of on-topic then, yesterday while grinding, two or three times my screen went dark, came back on (with some of the graphics not redrawn), and I got a windows message about the nVidia driver failing. Then Firefox crashed shortly thereafter. I just got a new GPU (it's for my secondary rig), so it's probably a H/W or compatibility thing, but I will try it in Chrome to see if it still happens.
I couldn't even run NG with my old video card, and it makes my (4-year-old work) laptop fan itself like it's running a marathon.
Anyway, the good news is that I was happy to see how much of my status it saved considering I didn't zone or camp or anything.

If you're not using Chrome, you're doing it wrong. I was in denial for years, but there's no serious alternative.

Don't get me wrong I use Chrome for work purposes, but I really do enjoy the features and I'm more used to how Firefox is laid out. Interestingly enough when I was running into the issue yesterday I opened up the console to see I was getting ping times of 1-2,000 which was the reason for the slow down. When I got stunned, or after the battle ended it returned to a more normal ping state.
For the time being I'll use Chrome to play Nevergrind, but hopefully I can get Firefox fixed in the future as well.

Typically closing and reopening the browser fixes Firefox memory problems.

She's a crafty one, that Firefox. One day I'll catch her and the fame and glory will be mine. Yarr
