Elite set items now drop. Here's what works and doesn't work:

Works:

• The items are in the loot table
• The items drop
• The game knows how many items in an elite set you are wearing
• The elite set tooltips work. They indicate the other items in the set and the set has a name

Doesn't Work:

• If you happen to equip two or more items in an elite set, the set bonus properties are lying to you
• They're not final values and they're not actually doing anything to your stats

I agree that a lot more of these sets feels focused towards the classes they're supposed to be used on yet a few pieces still seem really off, such as a Necro ring that has Phys damage and Attack bonuses and a Warrior chest that has +Lightning damage. I think they are a huge step in the right direction though.

Mentioned in the other thread, but I think Set items should NOT be weapons. Anyone who donated for the Kickstarter Legendary would never use the set item and have to lose that bonus. Plus, I think the game has better non-set Elite weapons from what I have seen.

Well by that logic the set items shouldn't be chests either. Not everyone got to be a kickstarter supporter. I probably would have been if I had known about the game then. In a years time the very vast majority of players will not have Kickstarter items, and even now don't. Since it's a 1hander in the case of the Ranger you still have the option to use another really strong Unique Elite item. I don't think choices are a bad thing. You can give up a slightly (or in the case of the kickstarter items, a lot) stronger single item to get a powerful set bonus, or not.

I plan to make it so you can set each rare type to none, normal, exceptional, and elite.
