I can chain pull 5 at a time on levels until I get to orcs in Hell mode. I have been practically permastunned by a couple of Orc Pawns and a Legionnaire. I get stunned and I just wait the 10 seconds it takes for them to kill me. Is that intended? Are the numbers right? Thanks.
Edit: Now that my exp bar has been zeroed out by orc pawns I have been experimenting. Funny story: I was stunned to death, resurrected, pulled 2 or 3 and didn't get more than 3 hits off before I died again. It is like playing Russian roulette against these things and I am 20 levels higher than them.

Pick up some Stun Reduction. Sometimes the CC does feel out of hand but I believe it IS intended and you just gotta deal with it.

these orcs stun a lot and will kill you...some later mobs fear a lot and will also kill you. with 50+% to the appropriate status reduction you have a much better chance. look for some gear pieces with that...even if its off-set.

Yea, they key to Hell is simply gearing up. A lot comes down to luck on how quick you get the drops you need. Eventually you can max all status reductions to 90% with gear.

They're a reality check for what Hell is like. "Oh Act 1 is easy is it? Lower levels than you've been fighting? *STUN* *BLAM* *STUN* *BLAM* Now you're dead. BRING IT."

Yes, resists are super important in this game. You can't ignore them in hell, especially. Stun is probably the most important resist since it's so common.

I ignored stun resist way way way too long. 90% is pretty game changing

Now that I have reworked some gear I agree and apologize for the OP. I was going for a full set of gear that while making me an incredible glass cannon gimped me against stunners... In summary: If you want to play in Hell, stack resists to everything, especially Stun and Fear (or if you are a monk get the level 20 skill that gives 100% fear resistance).

Some classes have immune to fear by investing 20 points in a skill, and you don't actually require 90% stun resist, but somewhere in the 70%+ range is good to have. I got 83% stun resist on my monk, and that's good enough. I find globe of darkness more annoying than anything else. And some mobs spam it and it can't be resisted. But I think mob's status effect rates are fine in this game. Just gear up. You can farm nimgall in nightmare and get elite tier drops if you're struggling in hell.

Blind is fucking awful. Especially as an enchanter. I had initially hoped to be able to stack MR to resist it but that seems impossible. With enchanter you eventually land on your charmed pet and cant switch targets due to being blind. WTB charmed pets being skipped as targets unless you specifically click on it. Or even just make them untargetable would be fantastic too

You were softened by playing a monk as your first class. Now you join the rest of us.

wiz was my first class. Ugh.
I thought I was going to really regret my experiences as a monk. But warrior and enchanter have been fun

At the high end it isn't too hard to max out various Status reductions so I'll agree that Blind is one of the shittiest ones because you can't defend against it.

Maybe add a cast animation to blind to give you a chance to interrupt it? Those insta-blinding mushrooms are the worst.

Resists should shorten duration of debuffs, right? Right?
