The database types have been changed, so you shouldn't have this problem anymore. Now... the item drops and exp... ? I'm not sure about that yet.

How do I switch to nightmare, I don't see a button :O

Also the contents of my bank just duped itself, I have 2 of all that shit now.

Yeah on the client side version it was just at the bottom, but I don't see the option anywhere, just the unlock via crystals button which I pressed to no avail.


edit: just unlocked hell mode via crystals for the hell of it, it gave me the message to reload browser to access hell mode but no change.

It should be an easy fix tonight.

Okay! Nightmare + Hell might work now. Was actually a lot of work to get it going... anyhow. I was getting tired toward the end and it all seemed to work. Probably a bug hiding somewhere. Anyhow, let me know if it works for you now.

Nightmare unlocked, giving it a whirl now.

Works =) A few small things I've noticed:

-When logging out to the character select screen from Nightmare mode the choice to switch difficulties disappears from the bottom. I must click on another character for a second and then re-select my main to get the Normal/Nightmare option to reappear. This doesn't happen every time, but sometimes.

-Difficulty resets to Normal if you log off of Nightmare, have to re-select Nightmare.

-Started Nightmare with -2 talent points. This is a thing I noticed happening all of this week but assumed was related to the quest progress not saving and losing credit for my quest awarded talent points. It seems to have somehow carried over to nightmare. I cannot identify a pattern as of yet.

[Update: After leveling twice it went to 0, and after leveling a 3rd time it stayed at zero =( ]
[Re-update: Leveled again, gained a talent point, zoned back to town and it vanished =/ ]

Bank is eating items again =( Bought new slots, put stuff in em, poofed. Some things were duped and it almost seems as if the duped items replaced what was beside the original item. Can confirm the bottom left corner slots of my bank are eating stuff, at the least.

So it's only certain bank slots?

Encountered some weird session issue today.. I lost about 2 hours of progress after playing through some levels then when I went to town all my gold and stuff disappeared.. Relogged and I was back at the start of the mission area - lost some levels, a bunch of items and gold etc.

It likely had something to do with being AFK for about 20min then coming back and I guess the server had kicked me (but there's no notification). You should probably add a keep alive or something to validate a session before interacting with the server. If there's no session, it kicks you and you need to relog.

Hm, that's a weird one. Didn't think of that. I figured it would not expire unless the browser was closed (this was always my experience). Like you said, I'll probably add a check to make sure the session still exists.

Thought about this for a bit. I think that makes perfect sense. Thanks for finding this bug. I'll just have to do a keep alive ajax request every few minutes that makes sure the session is still alive.

I'll have to do a heartbeat at a long interval, like 5 minutes to keep alive. If a user minimizes the browser it won't do these keep alives, so I'll also have to check session status when you focus on a window.

5min keep alive, plus the focus check should do it.

That covers the afk while in focus scenario (you'll never lose your session) and the afk while minimized scenario (you'll have to relog back in when you come back and re-focus).

I had to deal with this sort of thing with local play version, too. One guy discovered you could open two tabs and duplicate banked items by pulling out the same item in each tab. As a result I had to reload the bank every time you focused on the tab.

After some experimentation, if I put an item in any slot in the bank it either disappears completely or is moved to a different slot, duped, and replaces whatever item was beside it. I can do it multiple times and get infinite items. When I remove them they reappear upon reopening the bank, so now my bank is full of stuff that I can't get rid of hehe.

No big rush, infinite money is nice! Makes up for all the gold spent retraining my skills every time I changed zones lol.

The talent thing though is getting hard to track. Sometimes I put the skill in, zone, and it is no longer in the skill I put it in. Other times I level and just don't get one. Other times it works fine.

You're leveling too quick and broke the system!

Man, even pulling a constant 5 mobs non-stop I can't keep up with your velocity.. Rangers must be stupid broken if that's the case!

=p well I have leveled two rangers before, so I've got my rotation already worked out. Truth be told I could be 90 by now but pulling any more than 300 mobs at a time makes my hands hurt reeeeally bad. Physical pain is the only thing stopping me right now haha. =/ That and bank space, but mostly slamming buttons for 2 hours straight.

Don't think I've upgraded my weapons since level 20 =/ Pretty sure that's the only thing stopping me from smashing dudes any quicker. haha

Can't find nightmare mode I tried what was suggested above but nothing seems to be working.
