I tried to upgrade a weapon with magical damage to 8 or 9 and I insta crashed to login. My money was still there but the weapon was gone. Is there a way to recover the weapon. TO be honest although it was the best one I have ever had the loss is not that huge as many more drop. It's just a little worrisome if every upgrade is playing Russian roulette with the instant destruct feature behind the scenes.

Any hints as to how to recover it or is it permanently gone. Should I be doing something specific to avoid this ?

Since I'm a full-time working slob, I can't address this until I get home from work. Is this happening for all ugprades? Or some kind of fluke?

I just did a physical and magical upgrade on a dagger. Seemed to work... Hmmmmm which item was it?

Hard to say since the game ate it. It was a one off occurrence and I got a new weapon to replace it easily but it isn't something I wish to repeat.
I really just wanted to check if items were recoverable somehow.
